Bideford Medical Centre prescription update during the Coronavirus pandemic

Unfortunately we are not able to provide a delivery service for medication. If you are in receipt of the Vulnerable Patient letter from the NHS, please follow the instructions within the letter. The advice is still to ask a friend or relative to collect for you.

If you have requested a prescription from us, please be assured that we will get it done and sent to your chosen pharmacy. Our phone lines are extremely busy at the moment so please avoid calling us to simply see if the prescription has been processed.

Please do not stockpile medications. This can lead to shortages of items, making it difficult for pharmacies to obtain them.

We are having increased requests for Rescue Pack medication for those patients who suffer with Asthma and COPD. The advice from the British Lung Foundation is that these are to be issued in line with a personalised plan.

If you normally require rescue packs, we will continue to issue them. However, if this is not in your personalised plan, then they will not be issued. For people with Asthma, rescue packs are not recommended as standard.
