GP Earnings
All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Bideford Medical Centre in the last financial year was £72,806 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs and 11 part time GPs.
General Practice in crisis
Family doctors are stretched to breaking point, and new recruits don't want to train to be GPs. To add insult to injury, GP funding to deprived areas and smaller practices is also in danger.
