We currently have a vacancy for the role of Medical Receptionist/ Administration Clerk. This is a permanent and pensionable position. Hours are 37.5 per week over 5 days. Hours will be worked during normal opening hours which are 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday; occasional early & late extended hours (7.45am start or 8pm finish) on a rota basis to cover sickness/absence.
Applicants require experience in a similar environment, must have excellent customer care and communication skills, be computer literate and a good team player. Please ask at reception desk for a job description.

A new vacancy has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician within Bideford Medical Centre. The practice is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our well established and innovative prescribing team, in caring for our list of 15,000 patients in the Bideford area.
The successful applicant will be providing clinical and technical services to support the GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice nurses and administrative staff members ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for repeat prescribing and optimisation of medicines management, reducing waste and maximising outcomes for patients. The role will also include training and development of practice based prescribing receptionists and general receptionists to support improved co-ordination and effective pharmacy administration within general practice, especially with relation to repeat prescribing systems and processes. There is no dispensing requirement.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and good IT abilities, to be able to plan, prioritise and organise your workload and have the ability to work under pressure in a busy medical centre.
As a long-established training practice for doctors and other clinical team members (including pharmacists), we are proud of the supportive environment within the practice, with a supervising clinical member of staff being available at all times.
