Travel Clinic
If you feel you may need immunisations for foreign travel you should attend the Travel Clinic well in advance, and certainly at least 4 weeks prior to departure. To attend Travel Clinic telephone the Treatment Room to make an appointment, please be aware that you will have to pay for Malaria prophylaxis, Rabies, Japanese B encephalitis, Hepatitis B and Yellow Fever immunisations (please check current cost of immunisations at reception). Bideford Medical Centre does not have the facilities for credit or debit card payments, please bring cash or a cheque book.
Every traveller should take precautions against mosquito bites, and remember to aid vulnerable parties travelling with them (children and the elderly) to do the same-
- Wear trousers and long sleeved tops
- Use insect repellent on the skin
- Use a mosquito net soaked in insect repellent/insecticide
